Thoughts On Evaluation Questions, One Week Left Of Blogging!

So it is nearly coming to the end of blogging. We have one week left, only! I will be making sure to consistently blog as much as I can throughout this week, this means getting all the evaluation questions done, extra blogging about interesting ideas as well as developing other blogs I've done in the past to make sure they are well presented and perfect.

I've carefully looked through all four evaluation questions that need to be completed, soon. They all seem quite straight forward however, this doesn't make them any easier! I will be making sure I include all relevant information and take extra care of what I have got to say in each question whilst making sure to be presenting each of the questions with a different use of I.C.T app as well as various different gifs, embedded videos, vlogs, screenshots and many more.

I will put in my full potential into every single evaluation question and take extra care to make sure they are correctly done. I wish myself the best.

Teacher's feedback for album cover (work in-progress)

My teacher, Louisa, liked the idea of having pictures of London as the background of the album cover in black and white with the London landmarks having colour to them. I did this to show where the artist is from, I believe the audience would recognise that this is a London-based artist. Louisa also liked the font type, which was a red and funky-style text, I believe the text fit perfectly with the type of genre. The font had a blue glow around it which Louisa approved which was good.

However, it's still a work in-progress as the artist has not been put on the front of the cover yet. The only bit of criticism Louisa gave me was the fear that it may look obvious and 'out-of-place' that the artist has been 'stuck-on'. I will try my best to photoshop the image perfectly and accurately so it looks as natural as possible.

Production Ancillary: Audience feedback (how am I doing so far?)

Production Ancillary: First draft of magazine advert

Above is the first draft that I produced via Photoshop of my magazine advert for 'GIZEM K- ON A MISSION'.
My aim was to include the album cover as the main image to elaborate on audience recognition as well as continuing the same colour scheme that is seen throughout the music video and album cover.

In order to capture the audience's attention, I repeated the same font that was used on the artist's name on the album cover so it will be acknowledged that this magazine advert is specifically to advertise the new, up and coming artist and her album.

I personally feel my first draft includes all the conventions that would be expected on a magazine advert  such as the main image being the artist for audience recognition, a continuos colour palette and font, as well as promoting different forms of social media that the fans will be able to connect with the artist themselves.
My next step is to receive constructive feedback that will allow me to improve on my current draft to produce a successful final draft.

Production Ancillary: First draft of digipak (outside & inside cover)

I've produced a first draft of the outside and inside of my digipak for 'GIZEM K- ONA MISSION' which briefly shows what my final product will look like.
To create a clear visual link I consistently used the same colours of black, white & red throughout the digipak that also references the music video and advertisement.
My idea was to clearly show the use of synergy by boldly using the colour red that compliments the artist's image of red lipstick alongside creating a background via photoshop that consists of the artist's tattoo.
My improvements will be to:
- Possibly reconsider the font used for the album title/tracklist
- Include a barcode, record label logo and product information
- Brighten the digipak for enhancement

So far I'm confident in how my digipak is progressing and I'm looking forward to the final production.
However, alongside my personal improvements I'm willing to receive feedback that will help me to develop my product further to a higher standard.

Progress Reflection

Since my last reflection blog, I have improved many skills regarding the use of ICT, as well as being able to express my thoughts whilst blogging much better, and learning a load of new useful things which will benefit me in the future.

Throughout blogging, I've learnt about many different ICT apps and tools to present my work in a much more presentable, professional way. Apps like; Powtoon,Thinglink,Prezi,Blogger,Mural.y and many more helped me to achieve a better quality work. I will be using and sharing these with my friends and family as it's certainly useful for business people as well as students.

Although I knew about Photoshop, I've been able to improve and emphasise the skills using Photoshop which I had already known about. I've also learnt new skills which I didn't know about such as: the magic wand, and placing images onto one another as well as the opacity tool.

I believe I've also improved the way I express what I've got to say when blogging in detail. I think I gradually improved this skill over time throughout blogging. Blogging has also been an enjoyable part of my time during the journey.
