Magazine Advert Mock
Mock magazine advert mock
As I've stated earlier, I did use use the same font and background theme for my magazine advert as well. I included the album songs, website of artist, artist name, album name as I was inspired by Jessie J's album magazine advert online. he layout of text is also similar to Jessie J's magazine advert as well.
Album Cover Mock
Album cover advert mock.
I decided to use the background theme from the music video (chorus scene). I will also be using the same theme and font style when creating the mock for my magazine advert as well. This font is suitable for my digipack as a similar font was used in Katy B's album.
According to the research I've done, I've decided to include; barcode, company details, track list, artist name, artist website. These are the main important features that I should be including in my digipack album cover.

How Did The Screening Go?
Cinema Screening went amazingly well! Not only I had so much fun watching my peers' music videos, I also had so much fun and felt honored when my music video was on the big screen. I felt very proud and pleased about all the positive comments and feedback I have received at the end of the screening.
I asked some of my peers for some feed back and their opinions on my music videos. I asked them my questions: What do you think went well and what things could be improved?, Do you think the music video appeals to the target audience? and finally, would you agree this music video is a representation of a Dubstep genre?
For the first question, my peers said that they liked the editing, costume changes and the locations we used to film in an they couldn't think of anything to improve on. For the second question, they stated that they certainly agree that my music video appeal to teens and older people and it also presents the dub-step genre very well, especially the editing aspect as well as my performance (dancing scenes).

Opinions On Cinema Screening Tommorow
Tomorrow is officially the day that our effort and our production of a music video is going to be screened on The Screen On The Green cinema at 9:45! We're super excited and looking forward to watch the music video produced by our group on a huge screen. We are slightly nervous because everybody is going to be watching however we did the best we could and hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did creating the video!
We also aim to interview and asking our peers questions about our music video such as; What do you think went well and what things could be improved?, Do you think the music video appeals to our target audience? and Would you agree this music video is a good representation of a Dubstep genre?

Ancillary Texts: In Today's Lesson...
As apart of our introduction to a digipak, our teacher handed out a mixture of albums to everybody and discussed the most common elements that appeared on each album cover. For an example, the colour palette would usually consist of a maximum of 3 or 4 colours or 2 different types of fonts.
We also analysed the smaller elements such as barcodes, graphics, pull out booklets and the panels which we MUST include when creating our own digipak.
This mini task helped us get a clear insight as to what a digipack and advert consists of and HOW we should consider each element carefully when it comes to creating our final product.

Editing finished!
The editing for the music video was finished 3 hours before the deadline which was good, which was a significant improvement as last year my previous group finished 2 minutes before the deadline so it was very rushed. Overall, editing has been good but frustrating and tedious at times. What was frustrating was

Wrapping Up Production And Planning Blogs!
Planning, Production, Editing and Filming were all great and we've had a lot of fun during filming despite minor issues such as Gizem K feeling embarrassed to perform in front of the camera and bad weather on our re-shoot day however we've got over that very quickly, as a group we have used a variety of apps, images, gifs, embedded videos and many more technologies to make blogs much more visually interesting.
The best part of the Planning and Production blogging was the researching and editing. Researching music videos based around the Dub-step genre, theories from Andrew Goodwin, Laura Mulvey, Carol Vernallis were all interesting as we've learnt many important things got to do with music videos that we've never known nor concentrated on before.
Now, it's getting near to the dead line of editing our music video as well as the production and planning blogging tasks. We all believe that our blogging work is very successful and much more improved visually and analytically from last years blogging. Our aim is to sustain our success and produce better work in the: researching ancillary production, planning and producing ancillary work sections as well as completing the evaluation questions.
Feedback For Blog Progress
Yesterday, my teacher and myself had a glimpse of how I was doing so far. Her comments were mostly all positive.
1. She made a comment on the successful use of different technologies I used to present my blogs, I tried to use as many apps and technologies to present my work in the best way.
2. She also commented on the neat layout of my blogs which made me happy and aware that Ii was doing the right thing!
3. She also gave a 17/20 for just checking over my blogs although it wasn't examined in a detailed way, I wanted to find out how I got on over the past months.
4. However, she also suggested that I get rid of any unfinished blogs and empty blogs because it didn't make my blog look professional and made it look un-finished.
So, I decided to delete the few blogs from the past that either weren't finished or the blogs that were incomplete.

How Are Things Going 3 Days Until The Deadline?
Production: Behind The Scenes
Above I have created a slideshow of 'behind the scenes' image from our editing sessions.
Throughout the past few weeks, the process of editing our music video has been happening which challenged my group & I's creative and technical skills.
I personally feel the beginning was the hardest due to our experience being very minimal, as we only had knowledge of editing via final cut pro from the AS year. The most challenging element so far is gathering 'base tracks' together as we were very limited with the amount of clips we have.
The situation would likely to be that many clips were shorter than the rest or the footage would appear out of focus but we are working together to sort these issues out.
As of now, I am very confident about how far our music video has come throughout the editing process and we will continue to add effects/transitions that will bring everything together successfully.
